Discover The Barn

at Chavenage

Coffee - Bakery - Events

The Barn at Chavenage is nestled in the heart of the picturesque Cotswolds on our 16th century family estate. Our unique café, housed in a charming stone barn, offers a warm and welcoming escape. We serve exceptional coffee, freshly baked pastries and sweet treats as well as hot and cold drinks.

The Barn is not just a café; it's an experience – a place to gather with friends, fuel up mid bike ride, or simply grab a coffee and head for a dog walk. We will also have our very first retail space offering a selection of carefully curated products for you to browse as well as fresh sourdough and flowers.

At The Barn, we take pride in our commitment to sustainability and community. From supporting local farmers to minimizing our environmental footprint, we strive to embody the ethos of mindful living in everything we do. By choosing to visit us you're joining a movement towards a brighter, more connected future.

We don’t currently take bookings at The Barn but everyone is welcome, dogs and muddy boots included. We can’t wait to see you!

ABOUT

Chavenage Estate has been in The Lowsley-Williams family since 1891, purchased from The Stephens’ who resided here for over ten generations. The estate consists of a stunning Grade 1 Manor House dating back to 1576 and 3000 acres of surrounding farm and parkland.

The Lowsley-Williams have enjoyed Chavenage primarily as a family home but in recent years the house has been used for filming locations in many film and TV productions including Poldark and Lark Rise to Candleford.

The family also offer pre-booked tours and host events. The house is still very much lived in and loved by The Lowsley-Williams family and four generations still live on the estate.

James Lowsley-Williams, third generation and partner Emma have moved back to Chavenage and The Barn is their first venture on the estate. Their passions for cycling, great coffee and good people are encompassed within this new project.
